ELF faves & online coupons pt 1
>> Thursday, May 6, 2010
Hey ladies, I wanted to do a quick post on the brand Eyes Lips Face. You can shop online at eyeslipsface.com. There are so many items I use from this brand I just can't list them all in one post. Please note, I am not affiliated with this brand in any way shape or form, I just love their products! Here's why:
- CHEAP!!! The prices for any single item ranges from $1-$5!
- There are always specials and sales going on. always. I think that's how you get addicted. Also, if you spend more than $30, they start sending you some mag subscriptions at no charge!
- Most products are good quality, Ive had no allergic reactions yet
- Now being sold at your local Target
- and the best of all, they are ANIMAL CRUELTY FREE!!!
There are some cons Ive experienced with this brand. However, they are nothing to deter me from purchasing again.
- Sometimes receive a product broken or faulty, out of my many purchases, this has only happened twice. One time I ordered a liquid eyeliner and they sent me one that was dried out. I contacted support and they sent me a new one in a weeks time. They were really attentive about it. Also, since the liner was only a buck, I didn't have to send it back or pay shipping. The other products in that order were fine and this hasn't occurred again since.
- This isn't really a con, just something to note, shipping is $5.95 for US orders. I figure if you order at least 6 $1 items, its like paying 2 bucks for each product which is still a steal. I order like 10 at a time :) (<--that should actually be a sad face haha)
- If you're shopping online, the colors DO NOT match the actual product. I can swatch any ELF product by request if needed
Anyhoo here are some of my faves:
Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo, $3: I can use this everyday, I actually use the bronzer everyday. The color pay off is great and there's a nice shiny hint of shimmer to it
Eye liner in Ash, $1: I use this for my brows only, and I love it
The Beauty Encyclopedia Eyes Edition; $5: I use this almost everyday, its the only kit I need. you can find swatches here: http://jetleah.blogspot.com/2010/04/swatches-long-and-pic-heavy.html
I have more but Ill save that for another post
Now Id like to talk about the products that weren't so great for me. Please keep in my these are my personal opinions and what may have not worked for me might be great for you. Things I would NOT recommend are:
Liquid Eyeliner in Black, $1: This is a little too watery for my taste and it streaks
Eyebrow Lifter & filler in Dark, $3: I prefer a hard textured pencil to fill my brows in and this glides on too creamy, also the pencil itself is really thick and not good for thin brows
Small Angled Brush, $3: This is the ONLY brush Ive had problems with I used this for my brows and it worked GREAT when I first got it but after two weeks, it strayed and could not be fixed
Ok so now on to the coupons. I got these coupons from the site retailmenot.com. I cant guarantee they'll work for you, but they have all worked for me.
