International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia

Hey Ladies, I just wanted to bring to light a subject that I am very passionate about which is Gay & Lesbian rights. Today is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. On this day, 1990 homosexuality was removed from the list of mental disorders from the World Health Organization.
In my opinion, those who opposed people who are LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) are just grossly uneducated. It makes me sick that we live in a world where we cannot grant equal rights to some people solely based on their sexual preferences. I cant imagine the pain I would feel if I was told I couldn't get married. Its not just the rights I am saddened by, its the treatment - how the LGBT community is hated by those who don't understand or share the same preferences. Its pure ignorance to hate someone that you do not know. Its disgusting.
Please check the video out on this blog. (Feministing.com is actually a great blog so I recommend following as well) You can see from the video the harsh treatment these activists received while on their peaceful march. This makes my stomach turn with anger. Especially how those police officers grab the gay flag. I mean, was it really necessary to take the flag from them? Obviously these police are homophobic. Ugh, hopefully this world will come to its senses and grant everyone equal rights & fair treatment one of these days. I'm so glad I live in a diverse area.

Totally agree! Equal rights for ALL. And for ppl who're against it, let ppl live however they choose to live!
It's refreshing to see someone who isn't afraid to speak their mind and support what they believe in. Yay!

I couldn't agree with you more. I grew up around one of my best friends who happened to be bisexual, and people would be so against her whenever she dated a girl. This is a 21st century and it's hard to believe people still don't understand that everyone's different!

Glad I live in a diverse area too. Like I would now see those hot mexican chulos coming out of the closet. They're all tatted up and everything..fine ass hell too..then you find out they're BI. So I don't see why people are still against it. It's 2010 man!

I also prefer the pornstar look over natural look too! Believe it or not..my bf thinks im a perv when I switch on to the porn movies on the cinemax channel..he's like what are you doing? I'm actually checking out their makeup and hair. I lovee Sasha Grey's simple look. When I was younger..Francine Dee was my inspiration. LOL she is the reason why I shaved off my eyebrows and drew them on in highschool.
If you ever get the chance..for fun...we should do a post on makeup inspired by pornstars LOL.I know there's a challenge like that on Specktra but not many participated.
