Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner. Reviews & Swatches

>> Monday, May 10, 2010

For some reason I never liked the way it looked when I put liner on my lower lash line because I thought it made me look like I was an Egyptian at a costume party. Ive always admired how it looked on other women so I figure Id give it a shot. Since I have oily skin, I wanted something that would stay on. I know that MAC has some great performing liners but I wasn't willing to spend that much. Ironically, I found these Urban Decay liners that came in a set that cost much more than one of those MAC liners and bought it thinking I was getting more for the money. Turns out, I only use one color (zero). Typical me. This set came with a white one which loved but somehow I lost it :( I forgot how much these were but I know the whole set was like $20-$25 because I ordered it from All Wholesale Cosmetics. You can also get it from Urban Decay's website. Here's the info:

Shades (they are all swatched in this order):
Zero - zealous black
Stash - dark green/gold
Bourbon - brown w/ teeny gold glitter
1999 - plum w/ teeny gold glitter

Here's what it boasts:
The best Eye Pencil ever, ever, ever! Never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvety-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge. Line eyes with a hint of color or go for the full artistic, multi-hued effect with the wide selection of lush tropical hues, deep metallics and unusually vibrant neutrals. Incredible with Urban Decay Eye shadows!

Created with 50% moisturizing ingredients suspended in a sophisticated waterproof formula, 24/7 Eye Pencils offer long-lasting color and a dreamy, creamy feel when applied. With Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil.

Tips: 24/7 Eye Pencils are ideal for lining inner lids because the waterproof formula stays put. Just apply, try not to blink for a sec, and you’ve got immovable liner.

Here's what I think:
This is a pretty good liner but it's not completely waterproof for the lower lash line. It will fade in a couple hours. It will not smudge like some regular cheap drugstore liner though. The color payoff is great and the consistency is very creamy. All in all I would definitely purchase this again. Plus, this brand is CRUELTY FREE!!! :)

names, in order: Zero, Stash, Bourbon, 1999

I agree with you. The pigmentation is great and creamy but it does smudge on lower lash line for oily skin like myself. I like all of their colors though!

I'm the same way, add to the fact that I have hella dark eye circles! I always end up looking like a racoon. :(
