Hime gyaru style fake nails

>> Wednesday, May 19, 2010

I recently picked these fake nails up from sasa.com for $5.10. I loved the look of them, they reminded me of that japanese style Hime Gyaru which means "princess gal" If I could pull that style off I swear I would dress like that everyday. Its so cute! Im content with small & more subtle variations of it though. If you are unfamiliar with this style, click here for a link to some google images of it

This set comes with 24 nails and no glue. The sizing is kind of weird, I would have to file these down for them to fit perfectly on my nails. I realize now that buying these nails was a complete a waste of money! Where the heck am I gonna wear this? I need to find some tea or princess party ASAP! This is not the kind of shit to rock wearing a t-shirt and sweat pants. I feel like I would have to be in a full on princess costume for these nails to make any kind of sense. Oh well, at least their nice to look at lol, they were only 5 bucks anyway, maybe Ill wear them halloween.

On another note, I was recently tagged by Mikki on a fun 50 question survey, Ill be completing that soon and tagging all you lovely ladies! :)

Aww those are super cute! And so affordable! I want some lol! I know how you feel about feeling kinda funny wearing such fancy nails. I got nails from yukiumi.com, and the nail glue they come with is super duper industrial strength, so I didn't want to bother with taking the nails off. So I had them on for like 2 weeks, so I tried to match my outfits w/ the nails as best I could LOL XD

Cute. How funny, I stayed up late googling japanese cosmetics and nail art. Then I ended upon a gyaru inspired blog...but too bad it was in jap I couldn't read. I seriously want to get my hands on some jap brand cosmetics...cheaper....high end doesn't really have cute packaging. I like the pink and girly packaging..similar to Eyeko brand. I wanna get the Dolly Wink lashes and eyeliner.

Thanks for the comments ladies!

Molly - go to sasa.com! You can find tons of dolly wink stuff. Shipping takes forever though, like almost a month!
